Da Ale e Fil
January 24, 2016 // Posted in friends | No Comments
Grazie davvero.
We missed to meet Alice and Fil also last December, when Fede visites us. Last Saturday there was a last minute issue that prevented us to meet them, but eventually, on Saturday, we were able to see them at their place, in Belgioioso. And we had a lot of fun, with also Paolo, Luisa and little Francesca.

Super poteri?

Going by bike to the office, we pass close to the “naviglio”, an artificial canal not so nice like the ones you can find in Amsterdam. However, sometimes, there is something funny happening inside. Like the duck that seems to walk on the water…. In reality it is very cold in these days, and a thin layer of ice is present on the surface.

Cyanogenmod

In ambito smartphone pero’ tutto e’ piu’ complicato.
As you know, here at sacchibelli’s we like open source. But if we are smart enough to run Linux on our PC, the smartphone world is a bit more complex, and altough there are many linux-based OS (Firefox OS, Jolla Sailfish, Ubuntu and obviously Android), the dominant one is Android, and we decided to follow this trend. However, although Android runs well on the Moto G 2nd generation with LTE (XT1072) owned by the male component (adult) of sacchibelli’s family, we decided to gain some more independence from Google and some more performance improvement, installing Cyanogenmod (an enhanced open source firmware distribution for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Android mobile operating system). Although the process is not that easy, we found good instructions here, and at the end we were able to install Cyanogenmod 12.1. And it works better than expected.

Il battesimo del ghiaccio
January 10, 2016 // Posted in Lorenzo, Pavia | 1 Comment
Every year, during Christmas holidays, an ice rink is prepared in Pavia main square. Last year Lorenzo asked to try, but he was too young. This year, to avoid the temptation, we avoid the temptation, we didn’t go to the main square. But today Anna invited Lorenzo to try ice skating… And at the end, both Lorenzo and his father survived….

“Focaccia di Recco” is one of the best food here at sacchibelli we can imagine. The best one can be found only in Recco, but recently Michele and Silvia shown us that it is possible to prepare it in Pavia too (see here), and today Silvia, with Lorenzo, tried the experiment here at sacchibelli. And the result was amazing. Thanks!!!

Anno nuovo..

Grazie.
The new year has come, but we still like to share with good friends some moments of our lives. So this evening we had Roberto at our place for a dinner, and later also Teo joined us. We know each other since a lot of time, but it is always nice and funny to talk together. Thanks.

Dagli zii a Capodanno

Today we had a great lunch at Paolo’s and Luisa’s place. Paolo was a superb chef, and we really enjoyed everything. We missed the pictures all together, but at least we have all the female components together. Let’s hope that this will be a good year.

A Graffignana

E ci rivedremo a Neuchatel…
Yesterday, the last day of the year, we went at Graffignana to meet Cesare, Maria and their lovely babies. It was a lovely and happy afternoon, and we hope to see them soon in Neuchatel too.

As it happens during Christmas Holidays, today Fede, Dede, Stefano, Achille, with Paolo, Luisa and Francesca came at our place. Although today Alice, Filippo and Matilde were missing, we spent together a lovely afternoon.
