Ci sono domeniche dove, inevitabilmente, ci si riduce a fare acquisti e commissioni. Così questo weekend un salto all’Ikea per trovare una soluzione per sistemare i libri in eccesso si e’ resa necessaria. Come side benefit, un pranzo interessante all’Ikea stessa.
This Sunday we had to go to Ikea to buy a bookcase and few other stuffs. Not that exciting, but funny enough, with Lorenzo and Bea now tolerant versus this kind of activity. And we had an interesting Swedish lunch too.
La cantina del nostro appartamento è sempre stata considerata come un “rifugio” dove archiviare tutte quelle cose che, per vari motivi, non era piu’ possibile tenere in casa. In particolare i giochi dei bimbi che, crescendo, ricevevano nuovi giochi ma non volevano assolutamente (e non vogliono tuttora) liberarsi dei giochi vecchi (e magari malconci). Come risultato, la cantina è progressivamente diventata un caos immondo, piena zeppa di qualunque cosa, di fatto impraticabile. Così si è deciso di procedere a un riordino generale: abbiamo spostato l’auto dal garage e abbiamo messo tutto cio’ che si e’ accumulato in cantina nel garage, per essere selezionato e diviso. Una parte rientrerà in cantina, una parte andrà in discarica. La situazione attuale (che perdura da qualche mese) è che ora la cantina è completamente sgombra, e il garage e’ un caos allucinante….
It was a Sunday in May when we decided that the cellar of our apartment was an intolerable mess, full of broken things and toys, almost ready to be thrown away, but with the kids reclaiming to keep them again. So we decided to put everything in the garage (no more room for the car, obviously), to make a selection and to bring back to the cellar only the few things that we should effectively keep. After few months the situation is the following: the cellar is clean and empty, the garage is a mess, and the car is sleeping outside, on the street.
Questo fine settimana e’ stato dedicato ad alcuni lavori “manuali”, dal lavaggio dell’auto alla tinteggiatura della cantina. Per fortuna c’e’ stato l’ottimo contributo di Lorenzo e Beatrice che hanno aiutato parecchio…

This weekend we had to work a lot, both cleaning the car and painting the cellar. Hopefully Lorenzo and Bea gave us a lot of help, and they had a lot of fun…
La primavera è ormai alle porte, e dopo il grigio inverno, è tempo di far tornare i colori anche sui nostri balconi. Così, aiutati da Lorenzo e Bea, ecco che abbiamo preparato i vasi con le violette e con i gerani. E, oltre al rosmarino, quest’anno proveremo a far crescere pure i pomodori…
Spring time is almost here, and we started, with the help of Lorenzo and Bea, the preparation of our balconies, to make them fully of colours. After the grey winter, let’s try with violets, geranium and also little tomatoes….

After some weeks, at the end the wooden cross brain teaser has been solved (mainly by Silvia). Not that easy, but not impossible as we were thinking at the beginning…
A volte e’ capitato che, in qualche vecchio post, facesse capolino qualche peluche… Qui dai sacchibelli in effetti ne alberga una discreta famigliola. Da quando pero’ Silvia ha scoperto la passione, come passatempo, di realizzarne con le proprie mani, a maglia o all’uncinetto, l’allegra combricola sta moltiplicandosi. L’ultima arrivata e’ Grenny, la rana, ma nella foto di gruppo ci sono “quasi” tutti i piccoli capolavori di Silvia. Che dire, sono decisamente stupendi.
Here at sacchibelli’s it is not impossible to see some peluche to appear within the pictures we published in our blog. We have a nice family of “peluches” living with us, and this family is quickly growing thanks to Silvia’s passion for knitting (not only) animals. The newest is this lovely frog, but in the second picture you can admire “almost” all the group. Is not amazing?
