We received many gifts from Christmas. They were mainly adressed to little Lorenzo, but something very interesting was for us too. One of the most appreciated, considering that we love a lot the cheese, was a quarter of “Saint-Nectaire” we received from our friend Federica, who lives now in Clermont Ferrand. It was amazingly good. Thanks a lot Fede!!!!
Come ogni anno… un giorno prima

We don’t remember when this “tradition” started (it was a lot of time ago), but on Christmas Eve, Luca (now with Chiara and Anna) visits both us and Teo’s family. This year the visit happened one day before, but it was, as always, a magic moment, also for the presence of our little Anna and Lorenzo. Thanks, and Merry Christmas!!!
La blanche de Corse

We always remember the beautiful vacation we spent around “Corsica” more than 5 years ago (see here) and we’ve already planned to come back with Lorenzo quite soon. But few days ago Silvia found at a nearby local store, a great beer we discovered during that vacation, and we didn’t resist to the temptation….

Un nuovo albero di Natale

Christmas is not so far now, and at our place too some decoration appeared. The major change compared to last year (see here) is our new Christmas tree, bigger than the previous one, to celebrate little Lorenzo. And let’s hope that we will find many gifts under this tree, on December the 25th…
Lorenzo e il mare
December 11, 2012 // Posted in Travels | 1 Comment
Last Friday weather was very cold in Pavia and we have seen the first snow of the year. Hopefully only few centimeters, but this was enough to motivate us to look for some nice and warmer place where to spend few days. So we decided to drive up to Finale Ligure, where we found wonderful weather. Sun was warm, the sky blue withouth any cloud, and the sea was so beatyful. It was the first time for Lorenzo, and he was very excited. A good reason to come back soon!!! Sunday we went also to Finalborgo, an old village close to Finale, very interesting. We visited it a while ago (see here), and it was nice to take a picture in the same place, but with Lorenzo as additional guest
Back to japanese

Little Lorenzo’s nursery is close to Hayashi Restaurant, a nice japanese restaurant where Silvia is dreaming to go since a while (during pregnancy and nursing sushi based food was forbidden for her). So yesterday, to celebrate the first afternoon Lorenzo spent at the nursery, we decided to go there, together with some friend and colleague. And, as expected, food was very good.
Mint (Hot) Chocolate
December 7, 2012 // Posted in computer, friends | No Comments
We are not talking about a special flavour of hot-chocolate, do not equivocate. The reason of this post is to celebrate the installation of Linux Mint 14 (Nadia) on Antonio’s laptop (the same laptop where we installed Ubuntu 10.10 a while ago (see here), and a previous release of Linux Mint last year (see here). We ate also a good pizza, but the hot-chocolate prepared by Silvia was great. And here you can see all of us very happy because an updated Linux is now up and running.
Passa il tempo ma..

We met together more then 20 years ago, at University. We shared together 5 exciting years and our friendship grew up a lot. Now it is quite hard to meet again; someone is living far away, some other travels a lot, but when it happens, it is always a great day. So thanks to Marco, Zap, Antonio Enea, Luca, to their wifes and to all the children for the great lunch we had today. And let’s send a warm greeting to all the “affamati” that were not able to join us.
Pane con birra e speck

- 2 cucchiai d’olio d’oliva
We didn’t try any new kind of home made bread since many months. So this morning we decided to create a beer and speck special bread, and we were quite excited by the results. The recipe we followed was the following

- Olive oil: 2 spoons
