Today we went at Franceschina’s place, to celebrate her second birthday. Lorenzo and Bea had a lot of fun together with little Francesca, but the best moment was when they went inside the tent they have in the garden…
Dopo tanto tempo

The idea of this blog comes from the blog of Alessandro and Emiko, two special friends of us. Ale, in particular, is an “old” friend of the adult male component of sacchibelli family. We shared together a lot of nice and funny experiences, starting from the period in California. Although Ale remained over there, and built his new life in USA, we always feel good friend. Than Ale met Emiko, while here the male component met Silvia. And we felt good friends all together. At the beginning of our blog you can find some post about them (see here, for example) but, surprisingly, we never met together since that day, more than 10 years ago. So, we never met Edo, Lisa and Mara, their cute kids, and they never met Lorenzo and Bea… till today. Yes, today we didn’t loose the opportunity to see them again, during their summer period spent in “Val d’Aosta”. It was amazing to meet them again, to know their lovely kids, to spend a whole day together. It was a day full of emotions, and we already miss all of you. But we are confident that we will meet again in the near future.
Uno a Stanford, l’altro a Berkeley, molti weekend trascorsi insieme, quasi sempre in bici. The idea of this blog comes from the blog of Alessandro and Emiko, two special friends of us. Bagno rinnovato

Few weeks ago we posted some picture of our “big” bathroom, that was almost 50 years old (like the condo where we are living). When we bought our apartment we didn’t have enough money to rebuild it, but now time has come, and after a tiring period with our apratment trasnformed in a construction site, we can enjoy the new bathroom…

Our local administration decided to build a roundabout at the crossing of viale Campari and viale San Giovannino, very close to where we live. Such a decision looks like very stupid, because the best result that they can achieve is to move the traffic jam from that crossing, to the next one, where there is still a traffic light. Moreover, they are cutting a lot of trees, they are reducing the area of a nice playground, recently restructured, and for sure we will have a lot of additional risks for pedestrians and cyclists, because it is known that roundabout are very dangerous for these categories (see here, here and here. Congratulations for such a stupid decision…
Non occorre essere scienziati per capire che le rotonde rappresentano, per i ciclisti, un punto molto pericoloso (vedi - Abbattimento di tigli (che hanno almeno 50 anni);

The male adult component of sacchibelli’s familty spent some day in Dusseldorf for a new employeer training on culture and values of the new company I recently joined.
It was better than expected, but for sure it was useful because it allowed to me to start to build my network through the new company. Moreover I was lucky enouigh to find good friends coming from everywhere in Europe….
Un fortuito incontro

Last Monday we went out for an ice cream together with Lorenzo and Beatrice. The idea was to meet Luca and Chiara, with Anna and Marta, but it was funny to meet also Matteo and Valentina (the famous contafamly), together with Gio’, Nik and Paolo. The funny think is that they live in Orange County, and it is more than 20 years that we don’t have the possibility to meet them, because they moved. However they are stopping here for a while, and we were lucky enough to meet them. Thanks!!!!
Ultimo aperitivo pavese coi Carmen e Giuseppe
July 3, 2017 // Posted in friends | No Comments
As you knoundw, Marvell Italy at the end closed its offices here in Pavia. Hopefully all the colleagues found a new job, and many of them are still together, working for new companies that came to Pavia. Unfortunately, among the colleagues that decided to leave following new job opportunities around the world, there is also Giuseppe, who is moving, with his lovely family, in Pisa. We will miss them a lot… And yesterday we had the opportunity to have with them the probably last aperitif in Pavia. Lorenzo and Giulia were already missing, but next Monday also Carmen will leave, while Giuseppe is already working for the new company. Good luck dear friends… we will wait for you coming back to Pavia, at least for a weekend, and we will come to Pisa as soon as possible….
