Idrolitina party

January 30, 2007 // Posted in Uncategorized  |  5 Comments

Tonight Colin and Michela went at our place because Colin was looking for italian books. We also took some cookies, we drunk good mirto and, above all, idrolitina water.

Here you can see my brother Marco that, at the end, after a month, came to take the “few” salmons we had as guest in our deep freezer. Marco and Francesca bought a lot of fish because of the Christmas “Esselunga” discounts, but they didn’t know where to store it

Cena da Simo e Ale

January 18, 2007 // Posted in friends  |  1 Comment

Yesterdaty night we went at Simo and Ale’s place for a dinner. They cooked for us a very good artchokes souffle’ (supposing that souffle’ is the right translation for sformato), a great souffle’ of trofie with eggplants and pepper, and chicken with peas, ham and pepper served in a strange shape (called “mattonella”).
Then, there was a cake with pears and chocolate prepared by Silvia (very good) and the famous torrone from Cremona.
We also drunk a lot, and the wine was very good. In particular I appreciated the “Montefalco Rosso”.
Thank you Simo and Ale for the beatiful dinner.

P.S. Sacchibelli provided very good “hand made” bread. One made with olives, and the other one with nuts.

La mensola copritermosifone

January 9, 2007 // Posted in home  |  3 Comments

– Mi sono recato dal marmista e ho scelto uno splendido granito rosato (pubblicherò una foto a breve);
– Al mio ritorno a casa Silvia l’ha definito orribile;
– Sono ritornato dal marmista (un po’ perplesso) e ho optato per un travertino bianco-giallognolo (su rigide direttive impartite dall’alto);

As known, we bought an house some weeks ago. And now we are working to renovate it a little bit. My task (Enrico is speaking) was the choice of the marble for the shelf over the radiators. Avery strategic task. This is the result:
– I went to the marble cutter store and I chose a wonderful pink granite
– When I was back at home Silvia didn’t like it too much and she defined it “orrible”
– I came back (for the second time) to the marble cutter store and, following the received commands, I chose a white-yellow “travertino” marble
– A new check, with the third visit to the marble cutter store, together with the mother-in-law, shown that the “botticino” marble would be a better choice….

Conclusion: the choise of the right kind of marble for the radiators shelf is fundamental!!!

Stasera Magnamotto a cena da Sacchibelli

January 5, 2007 // Posted in friends  |  3 Comments

Tonight we had Emiko and Alessandro (Magnamotto) at dinner.
It was a nice experience, with some peculiarity. It has been nice because they are very kind and we didn’t see them since longtime. Moreover we had also Ivan guest at least for the appetizers. But the peculiarity has been that Alessandro and Emiko, coming at our place, crossed the thief that was taking off from the house of our neighbours…

Buon 2007

The new year came without too many celebrations. There was the classic chess match between Enrico and Luisa (who won?) and, at midnight, “spumante” and “panettone” with chocolate and pears. All the “peluches” living in our house were very excited…
