Gli 80 anni di nonna Carla
July 18, 2016 // Posted in celebrations | 1 Comment
Today is the 80th birthday of “nonna” Carla and although she decided to avoid any specific celebration, Lorenzo and Bea decided to bring her a cake. So we went at their place with the cake, with a simbolic candle. And you can see in the picture the grandparents, happy with the little grandchildren. Happy birthday nonna Carla!!!
Il compleanno di Jacopo

Today we went at Jacopo’s party. Jacopo is the 2 year old baby of Matteo and Vassy, and we met all of them few months ago at our place (https://www.sacchibelli.it/?p=3469). It was funny for Lorenzo and Bea to meet so many babies, and it was nice for us to see again Matteo and Vassy and to meet new persons. Thanks a lot for the party, for the great food, and for the lovely birthday cake.
Una sera con Marco, Anna e Matteo

Marco and Anna, with their Matteo, are our “american” friends (Marco used to be italian, but now he looks more american), and at least once a year, they stop here around. Not clear why they decide to come in July, when here we have very bad weather (hot and wet) and a lot of mosquitos, but we are always happy to see them. So, together with a lot of old friends, we met to eat a good pizza, and to enjoy their company. Thanks for coming, and see you soon (hopefully in California).

Last Tuesday Silvia and I went to San Siro stadium, in Milano, to assist to “The River tour 2016“, an amazing concert played by Bruce Springsteen and the E-street band. We like Springsteen’s music, but to listen it live is something very special. And together with the other 70000 people, we really enjoyed this emotional performance. Thanks Bruce, and thanks E-street band!!! We already miss you and we look forward to listen you again soon. Here there is the audio of the river, recorded during the concert, very emotional…
Un weekend gonfiabile

Summer starts to be hot here, and our vacations are still far enough… Tomorrow Lorenzo will start his summer camp at “CUS Pavia”, while Bea will start her summer daycare, with new friends and new teachers. So we decided for a quiet weekend. However the kids had lot of fun at the “inflatables park”, and at the end they were very tired.
Gelato in compagnia

Lorenzo and Viola met each other 4 years ago, at the nursery. Now they are still together at the kindergarten. Moreover also Viola’s sister (Giulia) is a nursery mate of our Bea, so you can imagine, how close we feel each other. Today we were very happy to have them at our place for a gelato-based snack. Thanks for coming, and thanks for being so kind with us.

It was haircut time for Lorenzo this week, as usual with Grandfather and Grandmother. But this time he was more independent, and he didn’t sit on top of his grandphater, but alone, on the seat.

Lorenzo always enjoyed when we went to the car wash. But today he also helped me a lot, as you can see. He is still a baby, but he is growing very fast…

When Lorenzo is in good spirit, he plays well with little Beatrice. Today he gave her a ride with his electric motorbike…

We recently started a door to door recycling also in our neighborhood. Everything seems to work well, both for paper, plastic, glass and organic, but when we had to understand where to put some old flowers and their topsoil, we had some perplexity. We went to the supposed “green island”, but here we found what you see in the picture…
