Good night Gorilla
March 1, 2014 // Posted in friends, Lorenzo | No Comments
Last Thursday our friend Antonio came at our place for a pizza together. And Lorenzo was so happy to see again Antonio. He had a lot of fun playing with Antonio, and Antonio was amazingly kind with him. And exceptionally Lorenzo wanted Antonio reading “Good Night Gorilla“, the book (a kind gift from Magnamotto) that Lorenzo every evening read with us before to sleep.
Thanks Antonio for being so kind with us and with Lorenzo.

Mobilita’ sostenibile

We often talk about sustainable transport, although we live in a town where this concept is not clear enough to our adnministrators. Also ittle Lorenzo is trying to do his contribution to sustainable transport, and today he started proudly driving his tricycle through the neighborhood.

Today, in the afternoon (and then they stopped also for dinner), Luca Chiara and Anna joined us for a snack (with delicious smiling cookies and a great cocoa cake) and we really enjoyed to stay all together, happy and smiling, following Anna and Lorenzo playing together. It was a great day, and we always have to thank them because we feel Luca and Chiara as special friends.

Don’t worry, we are not transforming sacchibelli in a food-blog; but in the last period we didn’t have to much time to spend in food cooking, and the quality of our food slowly decreased. Now we are trying to gain back some quality and, although is it just a simple “risotto” with saffron, today it was a pleasure to eat it, after a lot of time.

Involtini di verze con patate e pancetta
February 9, 2014 // Posted in food | No Comments
Lorenzo was a bit sick this Sunday, so we didn’t have the possibility to join any social event. But Silvia decided to cook something new, starting from a recipe she found here. The results was impressive and very good. So we have now a new dish to share with some of the friends we will invite soon at our place. Great job Silvia!!!!

Pista camionabile

Here in Pavia we have few bike path, and they are quite dangerous because they are not interconnected. Moreover you can often meet cars. Sometimes also police cars, but to meet trucks on a bike lane is something new to me too… No comment.

Mangiando (tanto) in compagnia
February 4, 2014 // Posted in food, friends | No Comments
E molto bella. Grazie a tutti.
Last Sunday we decided to cook polenta (with sausage and mushrooms, and also with gorgonzola) and we invited both Fernando and Alessio. They joined us bringing some great dessert: pastries and zabaglione (served on top of a delicious hot chocolate prepared by Silvia). It was a great dinner, with good friends. And Lorenzo was very happy too. But probably we exagerated a bit with the calories….

Nuovi pedali

Among the objects, my two bikes (a mountain bike and a road bike) are for sure the ones I love more. They are quite old (the mountain bike is a gift I received 22 years ago while I bought the rode bike at Berkeley 14 years ago), but when I use them, it seems that I’m flying. I recently updated the road bike with new pedals (and shoes that connect to them), and today I tested them. I survived, and this is good enough.

Una merenda canadese
January 26, 2014 // Posted in food, friends | 1 Comment
E complimenti a tutti i bimbi, e in particolare all’ultima arrivata, Lucia, splendida e silenziosissima.
Today in the afternoon we went at Silvia’s and Michele’s place for a delicious “canadian” breakfast. They prepared a bunch of sweet things, starting with their famous waffle, but also with great chocolate chips cookies (hand made). Moreover both Silvia and Luisa prepared something sweet (madeleines and a tart) and we really enjoyed such a lovely day. All the babies were very happy too, and again we have to thank both Silvia and Michele for their kindness.

Gelato alla banana
January 26, 2014 // Posted in food, Lorenzo | No Comments
Lorenzo is really a nice and cute little boy, but sometimes it is just a bit stubborn. So today, after a lovely day spent with him, while we were watching some old photos, he focused on one of them where we were all eating a good “gelato” during our summer holidays. And he decided that he need to eat “gelato” now, January the 25th. We decided to follow his “suggestion” but we didn’t have any cream at home. So we decided to try with “gelato alla banana”, something new to us. And the results were quite good, although we can confirm that winter is probably not the best season to eat gelato.
- Zucchero: 150g
- Limone: 1 e mezzo
- Banane: 3
- Vanillina: 1 bustina
