Bottarga in compagnia

L’ottima signora Beatrice, gia’ citata riguardo alla sua celebre cassata, ci ha gentilmente omaggiato di un pregiato pezzo di bottarga di muggine, proveniente dalla Sicilia. Abbiamo cosi’ colto l’occasione per invitare a cena Alessio e Fernando (quest’ultimo e’ il nostro amico che non ama i blog…) e preparare loro dei succulenti spaghetti alla bottarga. La cena, rigorosamente a base di pesce, e’ proseguita con trota salmonata al forno e si e’ chiusa con un inedito gelato alla nocciola made in Sacchibelli. Che dire, grazie ad Alessio e Fernando per la bella serata… E un pensiero ad Antonio che, disdegnando la bottarga, ha cosi’ rinunciato (a sua insaputa) anche al gelato alla nocciola….

Ms. Beatrice, already mentioned about her famous cassata, kindly offered us a piece of botargo directly coming from Sicily. So we decided to invite some friends at our place, to share with them such a delicious dish. We thus invited Alessio and Fernando, and we cooked the famous “spaghetti with bottarga”, something special and unusual here in the north of Italy. The dinner was mainly fish based, with salmon trut after the spaghetti, but we ended with our famous “gelato”, trying in particular a new flavor: almond. The evening was quite nice and we have to thanks Alessio and Fernando for joining us. And obviously we have to thank Ms. Beatrice for the special botargo she gave us.
