Ristrutturazione

When we entered in our house, roughly seven years ago (http://www.sacchibelli.it/?p=20), we decided to delay the restorations of our bathrooms, although they were not so nice. At that time we didn’t have energies nor money. Now, we decided to start with the restoration of one of the two bathroom, and tomorrow the demolition phase will start. Let’s hope that everything will be fine and in few weeks we will be able to post the pictures of the new bathroom..,

Also this year we started to have lunch sitting on our balcony. Now weather is great and we enjoy to live on the balcony. Yes it is nice to see what happens on the street (Lorenzo is particularly happy when the garbage truck stops), and although it is not so panoramic (no sea or mountains at the horizon), to have lunch on it give us the sensation to be in vacation.

In the last week we are feeling a little bit tired, because of many things are happining. The ones related to Lorenzo are usually nice and cute, but at the end of the weekend we usually feel ready to sleep. But before the female component of sacchibelli house will reach the bed, there is a huge mountain of laundry to be ironed…
Libri o e-books?

After some investigation, we decided to try the ebooks. Most modern ebook readers show very impressive performance, and at the end we decided for two models that support e-pub, the sony prs-t1, and a brand new kobo glo. We know, the real books are more fascinating, but for many kind of books, their electronic version is good enough. And this allows us to save more room, and to bring ebook with us very easily.

Christmas is not so far now, and at our place too some decoration appeared. The major change compared to last year (see here) is our new Christmas tree, bigger than the previous one, to celebrate little Lorenzo. And let’s hope that we will find many gifts under this tree, on December the 25th…

Il nostro Natale, trascorso con i parenti piu’ cari, e’ stato felice e sereno. E la nostra speranza e’ che tale sia stato anche per tutti voi.
Here you can see our little and old Christmas tree, full of gifts we received. Evidently we have beeen good guys this year….
We spent this day in family, and it was quite and happy. And let’s hope that the same has been for all of you.

We moved in this house roughly three years and a half ago. It is thus time to substitute the “provisional” chandelier we installed in our living room and that you see in this post. In the picture you can see the new one, maybe a little bit strange, but we like it a lot.

Nei week-end si continua a pitturare alla nuova casetta. Ed ecco anche una foto esclusiva di Gaetano Mangiarotti, detto l’uomo-tornado, il mitico muratore che ha ristrutturato di tutto di piu’.
During week-end days we keep on paiting the new house. And here is an exclusive picture of Gaetano Mangiarotti, a famous mason, , called the “twister man”, who renovated a lot of things in the new house.
