Per ora qui il temibile freddo pavese non si e’ ancora palesato. E anche la nebbia, tutto sommato, e’ ancora assente. Certo, la pioggerellina di questi ultimi week-end, il cielo perennemente grigio, non sono entusiasmanti come il cielo blu sulla baia dorata, con il suo magnifico ponte a sancirne il confine con l’infinito oceano…, ma siamo a Pavia, si sa, e San Francisco e’ lontana 9 ore di fuso orario e 10000 km…
Non ci illudiamo peraltro: la nebbia e la neve arriveranno, e cosi’ pure le temperature sotto zero. Ma quest’anno credo proprio che non temero’ il generale inverno. Abbiamo gia’ dedicato un post alla cuffia e alla sciarpa fatta da Silvia, ma oggi vi stupiamo con degli straordinari guanti/muffole. E sono sicuro che ne riconoscerete lo stile. Ebbene si, anche questi sono stati preparati da Silvia…

The cold winter still didn’t arrived here at Pavia, so we didn’t experiment yet our famous fog. Yes, it is continuously raining, and the sky is gray, and we only can remember with nostalgia the blue sky over the golden bay, with the amazing red bridge delimiting the boundary with the infinite ocean… And the nostalgia increases more because we know that fog is only in delay, and snow too will arrive soon.
However the good news is that for sure I will not suffer too much because of cold temperature here. We already posted scarf and hat knitted by Silvia, but today we can announce that convertible mittens have been released too (always by Silvia, obviously). Look at them, they are amazingly cute. Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silvia ha scoperto un nuovo mondo: gli amigurumi. Come sicuramente le nostre amiche Emiko e Kuniko sapranno, gli amigurumi sono oggetti, prevalentemente animali, realizzati a maglia o all’uncinetto, di piccole dimensioni. Sono molto diffusi in Giappone. E da ieri, anche a casa Sacchibelli, visto che Silvia ha creato Pete, il primo maialino azzurro. Direi che e’ bellissimo. Che ne dite?

Silvia discovered a new world, the amigurumi. As Emiko and Kuniko for sure know, amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. They came from Japan, but yesterday arrived at Sacchibelli’s place. In fact, you can see in the picture, Silvia’s first creation: the small pig (called Pete). It is very funny :-). Don’t you like it?
