Non avendo tempo tra la tappa dal dentista per Bea e il ritorno a casa, ed essendo lo studio del dentista affacciato sul Ticino, ecco che la call con colleghi e clienti è stata gestita da una panchina che si affaccia sul nostro bellissimo fiume. Non capita spesso di ritrovarci in tranquillita’ per una cena. Cosi’, visto che l’evento e’ capitato, eccoci a provare un rinnovato Pielsgarten non lontano da casa. Hamburger interessante, ma, sara’ stato il caldo, non ci ha convinto fino in fondo.

It does not happen too often to have a dinner time for us (without kids). However we had a short time for dinner, so we opted for the Pielsgarten close to out apartment. Not so bad…
Ormai, nell’era post-covid, la componente maschile adulta si è abituata al lavoro smart, da casa o in movimento. Di fatto l’ufficio resta un posto lontano, dove solo saltuariamente capita di passare. Tuttavia in alcuni casi le interazioni umane e fisiche danno dei benifici, ed e’ stato con grande piacere che mi sono recato in ufficio, in quel di Assago, questa mattina. Era infatti previsto uno scambio gastronomico con Paolo, mio ottimo collega. Ciauscolo x Salame di Varzi. Affare fatto. E ciauscolo recuperato. Questo, in modalita’ smart, non sarebbe stato possibile.
Even if it happens very rarely that the adult male component of sacchibelli’s reaches the office, sometimes it makes sense to do that. For example to exchange with Paolo, a dear colleague from Senigallia, a “ciauscolo” with some salame di varzi.
Un’estate intensa, coi lavori a casa e periodi complicati al lavoro. Così la fuga al mare, quando riesce, ci trasmette pace e serenità. La bellezza del mare a Capo San Donato, i giochi con le onde, la prima grigliata sul nostro “balcone del mare”. Insomma, tanta meraviglia che ci dona serenita’ e gioia.

It is a tough summer, with a lot of complexity added by the renovations activities in our apartment, and some critical period at work, both for Enrico and Silvia. But when we can spend the weekend at the seaside, we relax a lot…. We enjoy San Donato beach, where the sea water is blue and transparent….

Dopo aver svuotato cucina e sala, sono cominciati i lavori, con una prima fase di demolizione (pavimenti e parete che separa cucina da sala. E’ solo l’inizio, sappiamo che tutto è pensato perchè alla fine la nostra casa sia più comoda e ospitale, ma fa un po’ male al cuore vedere la devastazione in atto. Incrociamo le dita….

Now that kitchen and living room are completely empty, demolition can start. First: the wall separating kitchen from living room, then the floor. We know that at the end we should have a better apartment, but the demolition is a bit impressive… Let’s cross our fingers….
La pandemia è stata superata, e così pure tutte le conseguenti restrizioni. E anche se le nuove abitudini (smart-working, video calls e così via) riducono sensibilmente la necessità di viaggiare, a volte capita ancora di doverlo fare. Così, dopo anni, nel giro di una settimana è capitato, alla componente maschile adulta di casa sacchibelli, di dover andare a Monaco, Grenoble e Catania. Non male. Con il vantaggio di aver incontrato, conosciuto o rivisto persone estremamente interessanti, tra colleghi e clienti.

After the pandemic, sacchibelli’s male adult component didn’t start back to travel for job purposes. It is more efficient to have calls. However in June it happened a particular scenario and in a week I had to flight to Munich, to drive to Grenoble and to fly to Catania. A bit amazing, but once again, I appreciated the possibility to meet pepole (colleagues, customers or friends) in person. And, while traveling, you always can enoy amazing food. A special mention to “Osteria da Mariano” in Siracusa. Thanks Dario for the great dinner!!!
