La bandiera dell’Italia e dell’Europa appese fuori dalla scuola di Lorenzo e Bea erano piu’ che malridotte. Forse meglio toglierle che tenerle in quello stato. Una bella nevicata anche in città, durante le vacanze di Natale. E un po’ di allegria portata dai bimbi gioiosi e scatenati. In questo periodo di zone rosse, lockdown, preoccupazioni, ci stava questo diversivo….

Natale ristretto

Causa covid, preoccupazione per i nonni, regole varie, quest’anno il Natale lo abbiamo festeggiato in casa, fra noi quattro. E, pur mancando il piacere di vedere e abbracciare il parentado con cui solitamente si condivideva questo momento, l’allegria di Lorenzo e Bea per gli abbondanti doni ricevuti ha fatto si’ che la giornata trascorresse comunque felice e (relativamente) spensierata.
This year no lunch together with grandparents, uncles and cousins. Covid forced us to stay at home; however we had a good lunch, and Lorenzo and Bea had time to enjoy the gifts they received for Christmas. Let’s hope that next Christmas will be more “conventional”.

Un lungo e duro lockdown tra marzo e aprile, un’estate quasi serena, un secondo lockdown a ottobre novembre, per salvare il Natale, e il nuovo lockdown per Natale. Certo, stanno arrivando i vaccini, ma la fine di quest’incubo sembra ancora lontana. Questo weekend era l’unico in cui formalmente potevamo muoverci tra regioni diverse (classificate gialle); per fortuna Lombardia e Liguria rientrano in questa categoria, cosi’ ci siamo concessi l’ultima fuga al mare. A respirare un po’ di serenita’.
A long and hard lock-down in March and April, a summer season apparently ok, a new lockdown in october, to save Christmas… and now that we are close to Christmas, another lockdown. A nightmare. However this weekend we had the freedom to move from one region to another one, and thus we escaped to Finale Ligure, to have some relax…

Nonostante il periodo cupo, il continuo alternarsi tra preoccupazioni e speranze, la presenza di Lorenzo e Bea contribuisce a distrarci e a renderci allegri. Oggi poi sono stati entrambi parecchio su di giri, sopratutto perchè, alla fine, si è deciso di cedere alle loro richieste, e ora pure il nostro balcone è addobbato con tante lucine colorate e lampeggianti. Che, in effetti, contribuiscono a trasmettere un po’ di allegria…
While Christmas is almost there, we continue oscillating from fear to hope, in this so strange pandemic year. Hopefully Lorenzo and Bea helps us, with their cheerfulness and exuberance. Today in particular they have been very excited because, at the end, we accepted to buy some Christmas lights to be exposed on the balcony… Effectively it is a cool enhancement…
