\nSacchibelli e Luisa hanno trascorso qualche giorno di vacanza, dopo Ferragosto, tra Umbria e Toscana, visitando posti molto affascinanti, ricchi di storia, arte e natura.
\nIl 16 agosto, partiti da Pavia, abbiamo fatto tappa a San Sepolcro (luogo natio di Piero della Francesca), Citta’ di Castello per arrivare a Montone (dove abbiamo dormito presso l’agriturismo “I Due Mondi”).
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nIl giorno successivo (17\/8) ci siamo quindi recati nella magnifica Gubbio, trovando comunque il tempo per visitare anche Umbertide e salire all’eremo di Monte Corona. Il 18 ci siamo quindi trasferiti verso Pienza, cittadina rinascimentale di rara bellezza. Lungo il tragitto abbiamo anche visitato Montepulciano, citta’ della Pieve (dove abbiamo ammirato la splendida “Adorazione dei Magi” del Perugino) e la superba fortezza di Radicofani.

\nA Pienza abbiamo alloggiato presso il Bed & Breakfast “Camere Andrei”, e l’ospitalita’ di Benedetto, il gestore, e’ stata impeccabile. Il giorno successivo (19\/8) abbiamo fatto tappa a San Quirico prima di visitare la stupenda abbazia benedettina di Sant’Antimo. Da li’ ci siamo quindi spostati verso Montalcino (da li’ proviene il famoso Brunello) per poi tornare a Pienza (che abbiamo scoperto essere la capitale mondiale del pecorino….).

\nL’ultimo giorno ci siamo spostati da Pienza verso Monterchi (dove abbiamo alloggiato presso l’agriturismo Draghi) per ammirare la celeberrima “Madonna del Parto”, sempre di Piero della Francesca. Lungo il tragitto abbiamo fatto tappa sia a Cortona che Arezzo, quest’ultima particolarmente ricca di storia e arte.

\nLa mattina successiva (il 21\/08) il rientro verso Pavia, con nel cuore gli straordinari paesaggi delle crete senesi, dove e’ tutto un alternarsi di vigneti, girasoli, campi di grano e olivi.<\/p>\n

\nSacchibelli and Luisa spent few days of vacation within Umbria and Tuscany, two beautiful regions in the “central Italy”. We left from Pavia on August the 16th and we stopped both in San Sepolcro (Piero della Francesca was born here) and Citta’ di Castello before to arrive in Montone (a beautiful historical vilage not far from Gubbio).

\nHere we stopped at agriturismo “I due Mondi”, a nice place where it is possible to see a lot of animals.
\nThe day after (August the 17th) we went to the lovely Gubbio and then to Umbertide and the “Eremo” of Montecorona.

\nOn August the 18th we moved toward Pienza (a wonderful place, that, by the way, is the capital of the “pecorino” cheese) but before to arrive there we stopped at Montepulciano and Citta’ della Pieve, where we watched the famous “Adorazione dei Magi” paint by Perugino. We went also to the superb “Fortezza di Radicofani” before to stop at “Camere Andrei” a nice Bed&Breakfast very close to the center of Pienza.

\nThe next day we went to San Quirico and to the wonderful “Abbazia di Sant’ Antimo” full of history and religion; then we stopped in Montalcino (famous because of the Brunello wine) and we came back to Pienza to visit its center. The last day (August the 20th) we moved from Pienza to Monterchi to watch the “Madonna del Parto”, paint by Piero della Francesca. Before to arrive there we stopped both in Cortona and Arezzo, whose historic center is really nice (its famous square is the one you can see in the movie “La vita e’ bella”).

\nThen we came back to Pavia, but we will always remember the wonderful hills (called “Le crete”) we drove through, probably the best rural landscape you can find within the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
