Il nostro carissimo amico Colin, piu’ volte protagonista dei nostri post (qui, qui, qui e qui giusto come esempio) e’ a sorpresa ripassato da Pavia per una vera e propria toccata e fuga. Colin vive infatti ormai da tempo a New York dove sta lavorando al suo dottorato, ma ha accompagnato i suoi cugini in una breve vacanza a Roma e Firenze (parlando benissimo anche l’italiano e’ un’ottima guida). E oggi ha approfittato del fatto di essere in zona per fare un salto a Pavia a sbrigare qualche pratica burocratica: Ne abbiamo cosi’ approfittato per rivederlo, riabbracciarlo e chiacchierare un po’ con lui (di fronte a un buon’aperitivo). Colin, e con lui la sua famiglia che abbiamo avuto l’onore di conoscere, e’ per noi un amico davvero speciale, quasi un “piccolo” fratello e a lui sono legati davvero tantissimi ricordi piacevoli. Grazie davvero per aver trovato il tempo di venire a salutarci. E presto, speriamo, ci rivedremo anche negli States.

We often mentioned in our blog (here, here, here and here just for example) Colin, our dear friend from Berkeley. After spending some years in Pavia he is now back to USA (New York) to take his Ph.D. but in these days he is back to Italy together with his cousins for a travel to Rome and Florence. And today he decided to come back to Pavia for few hours to close his bank account and to do some “burocracy”…. We didn’t lost the opportunity to see him again, and we shared a nice “aperitivo” before he had to come back to Florence to join again his cousins. Colin is a special person, extremely kind to us and we love him as a brother. Thanks for remembering to see again us, and we promise we will come back to USA to see you, and your great family too, again.
