Questa sera siamo andati alla presentazione, da parte di Beppe Severgnini, del suo ultimo libro “La pancia degli italiani – Berlusconi spiegato ai posteri” nell’Aula Magna del Collegio Ghislieri; di Severgnini leggiamo spesso Italians e ci piace l’umorismo con cui riesce comunque a far riflettere su temi importanti. Che dire, serata interessante, per certi versi divertente, ma certo siamo usciti da quella sala un po’ depressi per la consapevolezza che sembra non esserci limite al degrado cui la societa’ italiana sembra rassegnata e per la fama che dall’estero ci stiamo progressivamente guadagnando (vedasi, ad esempio, il tristemente famoso ariticolo“A prisonner of the world that he created, del NYTimes di ieri…)

This evening we went to Collegio Ghislieri to meet Beppe Severgnini, a famous italian journalist presenting his last book “La pancia degli italiani – Berlusconi spiegato ai posteri” about our Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and about the reasons why so many italians are supporting him. Beppe Severgnini is a smart guy, able to point out many topics with an “english” humor we like a lot.
