Pedalata in Valtellina

June 29, 2008 // Posted in bike, friends, Travels

Yesterday our friend and ex-colleague Michela invited us in Valtellina, where she is living now. It has been a good opportunity to spend some time together with old friends and in a very nice and “green” place. Moreover it was not so hot like “pianura padana” and this was good too.
Obviously some of us decided to reach by bicycle Michela’s place, at least the last climb.
So, together with Colin and Ivan, I went to Tresenda by train (and with the bikes inside, in perfect pedale-maiale-style), while Mike and Michele arrived at Tresenda by car and by motorbyke respectively (with Mike’s and Michele’s bike inside Mike’s car). Moreover there was Davide too, but he is a purist, so he decided to ride directly from his place to Tresenda (additional 65 km). Then we start to ride together (although someone rode very fast, while some other rode more quietly), and at the end we met Michela, Evvy and all the friends waiting for us. Obviouly there was also very nice food (mainly “polenta-taragna” with different kind of pork meat), nicely prepared by Michela and her lovely family.
