California poppy (2)

As probably you remember (see here) some time ago we planted some california poppy seeds we received from Fernando (the friend of us who doesn’t love blogs). During winter time weahter was very hard for our poppies (we had a lot of snow and very cold days) so we were a little bit pessimistic about them. As a result, until few days ago, we had a lot of leaves from those seeds, but nothing more. But yesterday the first, beautiful poppy appeared and this made us very happy. Maybe it is because during these weeks weather here is like in California, so poppies realized that it is time to come out…
Unfortunately we can enjoy this “californian like” weather only during May, while soon a very hot and wet season will come. But now we have a californian poppy on our balcony, so maybe….
