Christmas appetizers

Dopo il Natale “piccioncini like” dell’anno scorso, nell’assolata baia di San Francisco, quest’anno il giorno di Natale si presenta piu’ tradizionale, con il freddo e la nebbia pavese a fare da contorno.
Alla roulette del classico pranzo dai parenti (andremo da Marco, Francesca Ilarietta e Michelino) i Sacchibelli hanno vinto la preparazione degli antipasti. E la componente Belli di Sacchibelli ha dato fondo alla fantasia e al suo estro culinario preparando una notevole quantita’ di tortine variamente ripiene, croissant salati, tartufini di caprino, involtini allo speck e tartine al salmone.
Nelle foto qualche dettaglio e una visione globale. Considerando che questi sono solo gli antipasti, il pranzo si prospetta impegnativo…



While last year we enjoyed a “piccioncini-like” Christmas in the beautiful and sunny Bay area, this year Christmas day seems to be more “standard”. We will stay here, within the cold fog typical of Pavia during winter time, and we will have a lunch at my brother’s place, together with a bunch of parents. Little Ilaria and little Michele for sure will contribute to give us energy, happyness and a little bit of chaos too. To help in the lunch preparation the Belli component of Sacchibelli (with the help of the Sacchi component too) prepared a lot of nice and very interesting appetizers: a bunch of mini pies (someone filled with mushrooms, while others with tuna or salmon cream), salted croissants, goat cheese truffles, speck roulade (I think that our Italian friends within USA will miss speck a lot….) and salmon canapes.
Considering that these are only the appetizers, I think that the lunch will be quite challenging…
